Experience

Before joining Arias & Muñoz, he worked for a prestigious local firm where he acquired extensive experience in litigation in a wide variety of procedures including evictions processes, losses and damages claims, foreclosure proceedings, administrative appeals, and constitutional actions. He has actively participated in the legal strategy planning of several high profile cases as well as providing legal counsel for local and foreign corporations, rendering legal onions concerning complex judicial proceedings. He has also participated in several successful out of court negotiations.

Career

Luis Alfonso obtained his Law Degree at Universidad Francisco Marroquín, Guatemala, where he also obtained his degree as Attorney and Notary Public. He is authorized as a Notary Public and Attorney by the Supreme Court of Justice.

He has been assistant professor at Universidad del Istmo College where he taught Civil and Commercial Procedures (2005-2006).
