ExperienceEnrique has practiced in several areas of law during his eight years joining the firm. Among them, Enrique leaded for almost three years the Intellectual Property Department of Arias & Muñoz's Costa Rican office, in which he practiced Trademark and Patent Law. Currently, he is the local partner in the Costa Rican office in charge of the Intellectual Property Department. He has also developed a very interesting experience in dealing with the Law for the Protection of Representatives and Distributors of Goods and Services of Foreign Firms, especially counseling foreign firms interested in constituting, modifying and terminating commercial relationships in a protective local environment of the interests of local representatives. Enrique has also assisted clients with issues involving consumer rights and its protection.Enrique has also practiced Aviation Law. His expertise covers dealing with regulatory aspects of law for the operation of regular and non-regular air carriers in Costa Rica. He has assisted major cargo and passenger airlines in establishing its operations in Costa Rica, helping them with all corporate, labor, tax and regulatory issues related to the initiation of its operations in the country.
CareerEnrique holds an LL.M. in General Legal Studies from Georgetown University Law Center, in Washington, DC. (2002). He was granted the Fulbright Scholarship (2001). He obtained his Licenciatura en Derecho from Escuela Libre de Derecho, Universidad Autónoma de Centro América (1997), and is authorized as practicing Attorney and Notary Public in Costa Rica (1997).
