Liz has a Law Degree from the Rafael Landívar University, Attorney at Law and Notary Public,1990, and attended Central American Business Institute, INCAE, Legal Issues on International Business, 1999; Harvard Law School, Program of Instruction for Lawyers, PIL, 2000; Harvard Leading Professional Service Firms (2003); University of Salamanca, Spain, “Tort Law”, 2003.

She is authorized as a Practicing Attorney and Notary Public by the Supreme Court of Justice of Guatemala.

Membership

Member of the Colegio de Abogados y Notarios de Guatemala.

She has been member and advisor of the following institutions and commissions: Law of Competition, and the Consumer Law, Users and Providers Review and Drafting Commissions, 1997; Legal Advisor to the United Nations in the Guatemalan Modernization Program, 1997; Advisor for the Guatemalan Tourism Institute in the Modernization Program, 1997; Consultant to the Revision of the Civil Services Bill, 1996-1997;Legal Advisor to the Minister and Vice Minister of Economy, 1996-1997; Legal Advisor to the Immigration Bill, 1998; Legal Advisor of the Seminar CAFTA Trade and Commercial Law Assessment Activity Overview, 2004; Leader of the Guatemalan Team on the Seminar of the simulation of the regional conference of the USAID over the evaluation of the Trade and Commercial Law of CAFTA 2005.
