Experience

She is part the Environmental Department of the Firm and her special focus is to assist companies and foreign investors to obtain required environmental permits and comply with regulations and auditing principles to protect them from violations and penalties.

She is a Lecturer at Universidad Rafael Landívar where she teaches Land Law and has been lecturer at Universidad Francisco Marroquín for the course of Environmental Law (2007). She was appointed as an Environmental Arbitrator representing Guatemala before DR-CAFTA proceedings (2006).

Gabriela is authorized as a Notary Public and Attorney by the Supreme Court of Justice

Career

Gabriela obtained her Law Degree at Universidad Francisco Marroquín, Guatemala (2003), as well as her degree as Attorney and Notary Public. She acquired a Masters of Laws Degree in Environmental Law from the University of Auckland, New Zealand (2006) where she was an NZAID Scholar.

She is also a Sworn Translator, authorized by the Ministry of Education to translate the English and Spanish languages
