Arias & Muñoz advised Agrisal Group in all the transaction aspects in acquiring this project; including the due diligence on both the land and the Project. Currently, Arias & Muñoz is still advising Grupo Agrisal in establishing its operation in the country.

Brief description of the deal:
Agrisal Group, one of the most prestigious business groups in El Salvador, acquired the project Complejo Riverwalk from Desarrollos Mega, a Costa Rican company.
Complejo Riverwalk - being developed in San Rafael de Escazú, an area of increasing commercial importance - comprises: commercial and corporate offices, and a Holiday Inn Hotel.
This Project is part of Agrisal’s expansion strategy to invest approximately USD 70 million in Central America. So far, Costa Rica is the only Central American country outside of El Salvador in which Agrisal Group has operations.
The first step towards developing the project is to build the Holiday Inn Hotel, which has an approximate value of USD 18 million and will likely generate about 450 jobs when it opens in 2010.
